Alumni Q&As

Will my Notre Dame College degree be recognized as valid after the College closes?

Higher education degrees always remain valid if they were conferred by a fully accredited institution. Notre Dame College (NDC) has remained fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and will continue to remain accredited until the College voluntarily ceases to offer educational operations.

How will I be able to get a copy of my transcript going forward?

The College is making arrangements to house the College’s academic records once NDC ceases educational operations. Furthermore, as always, NDC students and graduates can obtain copies of their transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse

How will my potential employers verify my education at Notre Dame College College?

You can order a transcript from the National Student Clearinghouse to be sent directly to your employer for verification of your education.

Will there be a reunion event or other chance for PC alumni to visit campus before the official closure?

Alumni are welcome to visit campus. NDC is looking into the possibility of celebrating a closing Mass in the Regina Auditorium in May. Watch for updates. The Alumni Newsletter will also confirm this event if we are able to schedule the Mass.

How will alumni be able to stay in contact with one another?

The plan is for Hiram College to serve as the designated records holder for NDC alumni. Later in fall 2025 Hiram will send out information about how NDC alumni can stay in touch.

Whether you graduated this year or 50 years ago, Notre Dame College, faculty, staff, and coaches helped shaped who you are today. The spirit of Notre Dame College, alumni, and your friends will continue to celebrate your academic, professional, and athletic achievements.  The Alumni Office is still creating the ways alumni can stay in touch.
