Buying Books
Keep the following pointers in mind and save some cash on those required textbooks, but always remember: “Studies show students who actually have textbooks do better in class!”

  • Get up early
A good way to save cash on books is to order your textbooks early. You may be able to get used copies at 20 to 30 percent of the original cost.
  • Go surfing
Make note of the price of the textbook and research other online booksellers for other purchase options. Take into account the shipping and handling costs and the length of time it will take to get it in your hands — you could run the risk that the book will not arrive in time for the first day of class – Buyer Beware!
  • OhioLINK (OhioLINK is a consortium of the libraries of 88 Ohio colleges and universities, and the State Library of Ohio)
