Notre Dame College presents its spring 2022 performing arts series, featuring a celebration of Disney songs, new music festival, high school honor band performance, dance showcase and more.

The performance series begins with a solo flute recital from Alicia Gallucci, co-director of performing arts at the College, on Friday, February 18, at 7 p.m. in Regina Auditorium. It concludes with an instrumental showcase on Friday, April 22, and Saturday, April 23, both at 7:30 p.m., also in Regina Auditorium.

Most events are free and all are open to the public.

The College also will feature a spring theatre production, “Notre Dame Theatre Welcomes Gesu Theatre to Present: A Celebration of Disney’s Music” on Thursday, March 10, 7 p.m.; Friday, March 11, 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, March 12, 2 p.m.; all in Regina Auditorium on the College campus, 1857 S. Green Road. Tickets are $10 adults, $8 seniors, $5 non-Notre Dame students and free for current Notre Dame students, faculty and staff. The production is presented in collaboration with Gesu Catholic School in Cleveland.

After over a decade sharing the Regina Auditorium with Mercury Theatre Company, and months of discussions on both sides, the College is saddened to end its relationship with the company after 12 years.

“We wish co-founders Pierre-Jacques Brault and Brian Marshall well and thank them for the opportunities they provided our students and the community,” the College said in a statement.

Notre Dame College expects to expand its performing arts offerings and is pursuing collaborations with multiple Northeast Ohio community theater companies to provide an expanded milieu of plays and musicals for families, as well as more opportunities for college-aged students.

“The College is excited to further diversify its theatre programming in the future and is looking forward to hosting local youth-oriented performing arts productions starting this summer,” according to the statement.
