Notre Dame College has scored among the top 40 of more than 200 institutions in Ohio in 2023 that offer online programs.
Only 36 colleges and universities in the state made the list of best online programs and only 28, including Notre Dame, scored above 90.00 out of 100.00. Intelligent.com evaluated each school on admissions, tuition costs, faculty, retention and graduation rates and student resources provided for online students. Intelligent.com ranks each institution on a scale from 0 to 100 across the six categories. About 2,500 programs across the country offer online education.
Notre Dame makes more than 20 programs accessible online. All are the same academically rigorous degrees as those offered on campus. The College extends associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s degrees in business, criminal justice, cybersecurity, education, nursing and more via technology.
At Notre Dame the estimated cost per online credit is less than $300, and degrees can be earned in one to four years, depending on full- or part-time enrollment and transfer credits.
Transfer of previous academic experience and scholarships are available, and Notre Dame participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, offering education benefits to eligible veterans nationwide who pursue degrees online or on-site at the College.
In addition to being accredited by the Higher Learning Commission as a degree-granting institution, Notre Dame academic programs are accredited by some of the most respected organizations of higher education in the country. The education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) or the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Notre Dame’s online degrees also have made the U.S. News and World Report list. The College is ranked near the top 20 percent for the best online bachelor’s programs. Recently Notre Dame also has been ranked No. 4 in the top 15 “Hidden Gems” in Ohio by the Online Schools Guide, ratings that highlight smaller colleges and universities that may not be household names but offer high quality education along with their online degree options.
