Notre Dame College has been rated among the nation’s best for several of its online offerings, including a top 10 ranking for its associate’s degree in business, a top 30 for its bachelor’s degree in nursing and two in the top 35 for the speed with which students can complete multiple programs.
The College’s associate’s degree in business management ranked No. 9 by TheBestSchools.org, while its Bachelor of Science in Nursing placed No. 27 in the country for quality and affordability by Nonprofit Colleges Online.
In a rating that builds on the U.S. News & World Report college rankings and National Center for Education Statistics data, College Choice ranks Notre Dame’s professional education programs among the 50 Best Online Bachelor’s in Education Degrees for 2017.
Online Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
In recognizing the College’s BSN program, Nonprofit Colleges Online also named Notre Dame a “Students Before Profits Award” winner for 2018. The organization’s rankings look at programs accredited by independent and trusted boards with lower than average tuition costs.
In addition, the College’s online nursing degree was recognized for helping students increase their leadership capacity as well as earning potential.
Nonprofit Colleges Online lauded Notre Dame for addressing the specific needs of Registered Nurses, too. The College provides working nurses the opportunity not only to upgrade their credentials to a bachelor’s degree but also to continue their education toward a Masters in Nursing Education completely online.
The College’s online BSN is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, and its relatively new MSN is in the process of being accredited by the commission.
Online Associate’s Degree in Business
Notre Dame’s online associate’s degree in business management ranked among the country’s top 10 for quality, courses offered, faculty and overall institution rankings, awards and reputation.
The College’s associate’s degree in business, accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, is delivered entirely online. The 64 credits cover entrepreneurship and economics as well as principles of accounting, business law, corporate finance, marketing and management.
TheBestSchools.org is an independent organization founded by professional educators to inform student choice in higher education and career development options.
Online Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Notre Dame’s Bachelor’s of Art in education offered entirely online has been named among the nation’s 50 best for 2017 by multiple organizations. The latest recognition comes via College Choice.
College Choice is an independent online publication that bases its ratings on academic reputation, student satisfaction, affordability and average annual salary of graduates to debunk the stigma of some online degree programs. The organization highlights educational institutions with solid reputations with classes and curricula developed and taught by the same esteemed faculty who teach in traditional on-campus courses.
In its rankings of online education degrees, the organization only delineates the top three colleges in the country and then includes all others in alphabetical order. The College Choice editorial team features editors with backgrounds in social work as well as academic and trade book publishing.
Notre Dame offers two licensure tracks for students enrolled in the online bachelor’s degree in education: one in childhood education for pre-kindergarten through third-grade and a specialization in mild to moderate intervention for kindergarten through 12th grade.
Both programs are available online and on campus, and both have been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
The early childnhood education tracks recently were rated No. 20 in the U.S. for quality, affordability and student success by AffordableColleges.com and No. 24 in the nation for academic excellence, return on investment and incidental benefit by TheBestSchools.org.
All Online Degree Programs
NotreDame also ranked among the nation’s best for the speed with which students can earn a high quality degree online.
OnlineSchoolsCenter.com has released its list of the 35 Fastest Online Schools Degree Programs in which Notre Dame ranked 28th. The organization uses rates of acceptance, retention and graduation to compare programs that “give students all of the fastest, most accelerated curricula” OnlineSchoolscenter.com also recognize schools that optimize transfer credits and maximize coursework “designed to give student the same amount of information but in condensed. form.”
In a similar ranking of convenient degree options that accommodate students’ busy lifestyles and flexible schedules, Notre Dame is rated No. 35 by onelineCollegePlan.com among “high quality” institutions from which students can earn online degrees quickly. The rankings look at the duration from start to finish and rates degree program that offers “the same amount of work in a shorter period of time,” making it easier for students to “jump right into learning” and “get them quickly on their way to graduation.”
