Notre Dame College continues its holiday tradition and centennial celebration, hosting an open house and choral concert for the extended community.

The College also will light its customary 20-foot outdoor Christmas tree for the first time in 2022 on Friday, December 2, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the campus commons. The lighting is followed by a choral concert of sacred and secular holiday music beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Christ the King Chapel on the third floor of the Administration Building.

All festivities are free and open to the public.

Visitors are welcome to view the tree lighting from the warmth of the historic Administration Building foyer, too, where holiday cookies and cocoa will be served. The foyer features large doors and windows. It and the entire first floor are decorated with lights, bows, garland and a large nativity, with Christmas music playing.

The holiday choir showcase features Notre Dame’s vocal arts programs, which include a variety of ensembles for students, regardless of major.

Notre Dame is celebrating 100 years of educational excellence in 2022-2023. The College opened in its current location on South Green Road in South Euclid in fall 1922 and its articles of incorporation were signed and filed with the State of Ohio on March 30, 1923. Notre Dame honored the first graduates of its two-year teacher training program in 1925 and its first graduating class of four-year degree students in 1926.

Notre Dame continues to mark its centennial with events throughout 2022-2023. Details are available online.
