Our Alumni Update of the Week goes to Danae L. Lowell, DPM ’97! After graduating from Notre Dame, Danae was accepted into the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine now Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Danae went to the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center for a mandatory rotation and never wanted to leave. Danae feels it is an honor and privilege to provide care for veterans. She has been at the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center for over 20 years. She has taken on administrative responsibilities including student and resident training, is on various committees, and is a national field advisor in the VA. Currently, she is a Site Director for Mercy Health Regional Medical Center’s podiatric medicine and surgery program and coordinates training for 24 Cleveland VA Medical Center residents. Resident training has always been her passion. Danae’s career in Podiatry has transformed and adapted along the way according to her interests and it all started at NDC. Congratulations!
