The InnerCitySaints Award pays tribute to the dedicated “saints” serving Cleveland’s inner city communities by working to bring hope to those who need it most.
Since 1922, the Sisters of Notre Dame, the founders of Notre Dame College, have been stewards of God’s providential care and goodness in the Greater Cleveland community through education and committed service to others. In the spirit of this tradition, Notre Dame College wants to recognize those humble individuals who, through their everyday actions, make a positive difference in Cleveland. President Thomas G. Kruczek and a committee of community leaders respectfully request nominations of such individuals who, through their work or service to others, have been dedicated to serving the needs of the poor and marginalized in our city.
The qualities to consider when nominating the 2018 InnerCitySaint are:
- He/she works to inspire and find possibilities in persons, communities, or situations.
- He/she is committed through his or her work and/or service to relieving the relentless stress and despair in Cleveland’s inner ring communities.
- He/she is embraced by the communities served as a loyal and persistent source of help and encouragement.
