Online Teaching

About Teaching at Notre Dame College and
The Finn Center for Online, Graduate and Professional Programs

Notre Dame College and the Finn Center are actively seeking adjunct instructors for their graduate and undergraduate programs from business to education to nursing and intelligence studies and more. To adhere to regional and program accreditation, each academic division has its own teaching requirements. As a starter, each instructor must have a terminal degree in his or her teaching discipline, for example, an MBA in business, a Ph.D. in communication or a MSN in nursing. Interested individuals who hold a Ph.D. and have online teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Our Finn Center accelerated courses for online, graduate and professional students are eight weeks in length and are offered six times per year. They constitute an entire semester of academic work and credit.

The Center has adopted the Moodle LMS system.  Online instructors are expected to become “certified” by attending two online courses -ensuring that our faculty members are prepared to engage and teach our students.
