Notre Dame College, in its centennial year, has been selected as one of One South Euclid’s Hometown Heroes for 2022.

The College will be recognized at a dessert reception, called Mingle at Mayfield, on Thursday, October 20, at 7 p.m. at the Mayfield Country Club, 1545 Sheridan Road in South Euclid. Each year One South Euclid honors those who contribute significantly to its community as Hometown Heroes.

Tickets purchased before Friday, September 30, are $50. The price goes up to $65 after that. Attire is business casual. All proceeds will benefit the business, residential and cultural programs of One South Euclid.

Notre Dame is an anchor in South Euclid that has impacted the community economically, culturally and socially throughout its 100 years. The College also contributes to the vibrancy and diversity of the city by offering events such as lectures, concerts, theater performances, sporting events and art shows that are not only often free to our residents, but also draw visitors to South Euclid.

Umberto P. Fedeli and Catherine Stang also have been named Hometown Heroes for 2022.

Fedeli was born and raised in South Euclid and serves as president and CEO of The Fedeli Group, one of the largest privately held risk management and insurance firms in Ohio.

Stang is a lifelong South Euclid resident, spent 31 years teaching in South Euclid-Lyndhurst Schools. She has also been a board member of the South Euclid Police K9 Foundation.
