Notre Dame College is celebrating Homecoming and Alumni Reunion 2019 from Friday, October 4, to Sunday, October 6, throughout campus.

The festivities begin with a Homecoming and Alumni Reunion reception featuring Brent Hamker and Faculty Jazz Combo on Friday, October 4, at 6 p.m. on the Campus Commons. The event is free and open to the public with cash bar and food available. The concert is followed by a bonfire at 8 p.m.

The College is hosting a free academic seminar on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a break for a campus picnic at noon. The conference format features an academic division chair panel discussion; classroom dedication ceremony; and breakout sessions on Catholic charism, history of Sisters of Notre Dame and keys to authentic happiness from positive psychology, neuroscience and ancient religious wisdom.

Tailgating for the nationally ranked Falcons football team also begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, in the Regina Complex lot, and Notre Dame also has more sports to offer. Immediately following the traditional homecoming football game against West Virginia Wesleyan College at noon on Mueller Field will be a Falcons rugby match versus Army. Both contests are preceded by a Notre Dame alumni baseball game at 9 a.m. at Greenview Elementary School, adjacent to the College at 1825 S. Green Road.

Notre Dame celebrates its alumni reunions, especially for the classes of 1964 and 1969, on Sunday, October 6, with a Mass at 10 a.m. and brunch at 11 a.m., during which the College expects to announce its Alum of the Year for 2019.

The weekend officially kicks off with a student engagement event, “Mind Games” with hypnotist Paul Ramsay, on Thursday, October 3, from 8-10 p.m. in Regina Auditorium. The event is open only to Notre Dame students with valid College identification.

  • Paint the Spirit Rock + Blue & Gold Swag Giveaway: 2-4 p.m., Residence Hall Quad,
  • Homecoming and Alumni Reunion Reception featuring Brent Hamker and Faculty Jazz Combo: 6 p.m. Campus Commons, free and open to the public with cash bar and food available
  • Bonfire with the Falcon Café: 8-10 p.m., Fire Pit next to Parking Lot E

Saturday, October 5

  • Alumni Baseball Game: 9 a.m. Greenview Elementary School, 1825 S. Green Road, South Euclid
  • Alumni Reunion Academic Division Chairs Panel Discussion and Class of 1968 Classroom Dedication: 10 a.m. Regina Hall Room 126
  • Homecoming and Alumni Reunion Picnic Lunch: noon, south lawn outside of Mueller Field
  • Homecoming Football featuring Falcon Marching Band Halftime Show: noon, Mueller Field
  • Alumni Reunion Breakout Sessions: 1:30-4:30 p.m. Administration Building Rooms 118 and 120

Sunday, October 6

  • Alumni Reunion Mass: 10 a.m. Christ the King Chapel of the Administration Building
  • Alumni Reunion Brunch: 11 a.m. Great Room of the Administration Building
