Notre Dame College has named Terri Bradford Eason as the new chair of its Board of Trustees.

Eason has more than three decades of experience in the financial services and philanthropic industry. She currently is senior director of gift planning and professional advisor relations at the Cleveland Foundation. Eason was first appointed to the Notre Dame Board of Trustees in 2019. She will serve an initial term as chair for two years, effective June 11 of this year.

“As a proud parent and South Euclid resident, I look forward to working with everyone as we celebrate Notre Dame College’s upcoming 100th anniversary,” she said.

At the Cleveland Foundation, Eason’s primary responsibilities include cultivating relationships that help individuals establish current and deferred philanthropic funds, legacy gifts and charitable giving strategic plans.

Eason joined the Cleveland Foundation in October 2008 after serving in several positions with National City (now PNC), supporting several functions including wealth management, relationship management, new business development and both private and corporate banking. As director of nonprofit business services for National City, she was responsible for new business development and relationship management of nonprofit and higher education organizations.

Throughout her tenure with the bank, Eason was dedicated to quality service for which she received the company’s NCC Excel Award for extraordinary client and community service. She also was the recipient of the YWCA Women of Professional Excellence Award, Top Ladies of Distinction Status of Women Award, the NCNW Phenomenal Women of Extraordinary Leadership and Service Award and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc.’s Woman of Vision award.

Eason has served the nonprofit community as a director on several area nonprofit boards, including Recovery Resources, Junior Achievement, the Women’s City Club Foundation, and the Legacy Village-Lyndhurst Community Fund Committee. In addition, she is the former president of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® and former chair of the Alpha Omega Foundation, Inc.

Currently, she serves on the Board of Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center (past-board president); Northern Ohio Charitable Gift Planners Council; Milestones Autism Resources, Inc.; AKA Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc. (at-large director) headquartered in Chicago; and member of the Board of Trustees for Ohio North First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction (former board chair).

Eason is a member of the National Black MBA Association Inc., NAACP, Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society, Cleveland Chapter of Links ,Inc., Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., and Jack & Jill of America Inc.

She earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State University.

Eason resides in South Euclid with her husband Clayton Eason, Sr. and their two sons, Clayton II, who graduated from Notre Dame in 2020, and Bradford, who is a senior at John Carroll University.
