Hi, my name is Dave Hilborn! I am the Assistant Dean of Enrollment here at Notre Dame College. I’m originally from Painesville, Ohio and currently reside in Mentor, Ohio. I attended Lake Catholic High School, Class of 2001. After high school I chose to further my education at Notre Dame College where I majored in Information Systems. When I was a student at NDC, I had the opportunity to play on the first men’s basketball team in the history of the school. I was also part of the first class of men to attend Notre Dame College. The college was all female up until 2001. I chose NDC because it felt like home and I had the unique opportunity to help build what the college has become today.

What to know about me?
I love to exercise and live a healthy lifestyle which includes running and playing basketball.
I got married in NDC’s Christ the King Chapel.
I scored the first point in the history of the NDC basketball program.

Susan Hren's Bio

Hi! My name is Susan Hren and here at Notre Dame College I am the College Credit Plus advisor. What I do with the College Credit Plus program is help high school students schedule and take college courses. The courses students take count towards both high school and college credit. I grew up in in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Eastern Michigan University for both my B.S. in English and M.A. in Guidance and Counseling.

Interests: Shopping, being a Girl Scout leader, cooking, reading, and most importantly my family

Fun Fact 1: I collect Swatch watches and still love Duran Duran (hello 80s!)

Fun Fact 2: I have a fish phobia. Unfortunately my kids love aquariums so I’m working on it.

Fun Fact 3: I met my husband when I was 15 but we didn't date until I was 28. We did get "married" for our high school religion project though!

Why I love NDC:
I love Notre Dame College because of the atmosphere - everyone here is friendly and willing to help each other! I also love Notre Dame College because although the school is small it still offers so much to the students.

Mandy Mean's Bio

Hi! My name is Amanda Means but everyone calls me Mandy. I am the Director of New Student Experience here at Notre Dame College. I went to Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School and graduated in 2005. I attended Baldwin Wallace University and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Leadership Studies. Then, I continued on to obtain a Master of Education in Leadership in Higher Education. I wanted to work at NDC because to provide a meaningful college experience that was similar to mine and I also wanted to connect with students on an individual level. I wanted to be a part of the institution’s evolving culture and be able to help out with the extraordinary opportunities that we offer to students here in the Cleveland area. Something that I love about NDC is the students have such great energy and passion both inside and outside of the classroom.
