Marching Band

The Notre Dame College Marching Band program began in 2009. The band has over fifty members and is establishing a name that is synonymous with quality entertainment.

The students that make up the band all undergraduates from different fields of study. The NDC Marching Band is unique in that it offers students the opportunity to continue performing in a marching ensemble while also pursuing their liberal arts education in a nationally renowned educational institution.

The Notre Dame College Marching Band performs at all home football games, as well as at other venues throughout the Greater Cleveland area.

Marching Band only meets during the Fall semesters on T/TH from 4:30pm-6:30pm.

Pep Band

During the spring semester, instrumental students who are interested in performing for athletic events, can register for Pep Band. This group rehearses for 1 hour a week during the spring semester and performs at all home mens and womens basketball games. Just like all of our instrumental ensembles, the Pep Band is offered for academic credit.

Wind Symphony

During the spring semester, the marching band turns into the wind symphony. The wind symphony meets on T/TH from 4:30-6:30pm. The wind symphony is composed of woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists. The wind symphony is the premiere instrumental ensemble on campus. The ensemble performs 2-3 concerts in the spring semester. The wind symphony is also host for the NDC Honor Band Festival. The NDC Wind Symphony has worked with many incredible soloists, conductors, and composers and has been a part of new commissioning projects to help bring new works for the band to life.

Jazz Combo

During both the fall and spring semesters, students who are interested in jazz can enroll in the jazz combo. The jazz combo performs 1-2 concerts a semester and is also an ensemble that can gig around the Cleveland area. The jazz ensemble rehearses for 90 minutes weekly and consists of wind instrumentalists, rhythm section instrumentalists, and jazz vocalists.

String Ensemble

The string ensemble rehearses during the Fall and Spring semesters on Fridays from 11:30-12:45 pm. Students are encouraged to join the String Ensemble regardless of their level of experience or field of study! String ensemble members include instrumentation on violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
