Notre Dame College in South Euclid receives grant to help low-income students

Notre Dame College in South Euclid is equipped to help more low-income students overcome financial barriers to graduation. The college recently received $113,400 to help students who are experiencing financial emergencies. “In fulfilling the mission of our college, we serve many less-privileged, low-income and first-generation students,” said Notre Dame College President Thomas G. Kruczek.

Negative publicity has been swirling around many college campuses because of the misbehavior of their students. The traditional college and university template of a community of scholars learning, exploring, and studying in an atmosphere of respect and tolerance has been turned on-end with recent incidents of disrespect, incivility, callous indifference and even violence.

Notre Dame College in South Euclid receives $1.5 million gift

The families and friends of the late Marie Goetz Geier, represented by Richard, Robert and Thomas Geier, provided the college with $1.5 million to establish The Marie Goetz Geier Endowment for STEM Education and Professor(s) in STEM Education. “We are extremely grateful for the relationship we enjoy with the Geier family and cannot thank them enough for their generosity,” said Notre Dame College President Thomas G. Kruczek.

Notre Dame College goes to the dogs

Well, it appears as if Notre Dame College is going to the dogs as college President Thomas Kruczek has acquired a puppy named Ember whose job is to serve students. Ember can frequently be seen around the campus. The dog roams dorm halls, providing an opportunity for students to get some dog time in and relieve the pressures of college life.
