Notre Dame Raises $625,000 in New Grants for Academic Support Center, Nursing Division

Notre Dame College has received two recent grants, totaling $625,000, to support capital campaigns for its Academic Support Center for Students with Learning Differences (ASC) and Division of Nursing.

An anonymous foundation awarded the College's ASC a $375,000 challenge grant and the Parker- Hannifin Foundation gifted the College's nursing division $250,000. Both donations will help renovate Regina Hall to enhance campus facilities for the two programs.

The ASC has experienced unprecedented enrollment, growing from serving four students in 2005 to 132 this year. As a challenge grant, the College is required to secure matching funds to raise the total for the ASC to $750,000. In Regina Hall, the nursing division also will benefit from more space to centralize its classrooms, labs and offices and facilitate student support.

Those interested in helping the College add to the funding for the ASC and nursing programs are encouraged to contact Maureen Ischay, executive director of development, at 216.373.5335 or
