For the first time, during commencement 2015, Notre Dame College conducted two undergraduate diploma ceremonies to accommodate its largest graduating class—nearly 300 students. The College also presented its inaugural Mission Award. The new honor recognizes a graduate or graduates who have persisted through uncommon circumstances and displayed personal maturity by means of their education. The first Mission Awards were presented to Laurie Mae Shorts for her commitment to campus worship and performing arts and to Doniel Gambrell Jr. for balancing family, a full-time job, a full course load and Falcon football.
