From the President

Dear Friends of Notre Dame College,

Thomas KruczekThis month marks the anniversary of my first year of service here, and during this time, my admiration and respect for the school continues to grow. Every day brings new appreciation for the wonderful work that Notre Dame College is doing.

We are truly changing the world…one student at a time. Each life we touch is important; each graduate we send forth will move out as a positive force in our community. Their lives, and those of future generations, will be changed, and the world will be the better for it.

During our May commencement, we successfully launched 367 proud graduates into bright and promising futures. Commencement weekend was spectacular, and I wish all of you could have been present to share the excitement and see the joy on the faces of our graduates and their families. For many families, watching their loved one graduate was the culmination of a dream of several lifetimes, as 40 percent of our students were the first in their families to ever graduate from college.

Every member of our Notre Dame College family can share in the pride of that moment because without our dedicated faculty and staff, without the prayers and support of the Sisters of Notre Dame and without the vision and generosity of our trustees, donors and friends of the college—it could not have happened. What you do for Notre Dame College matters. It makes a difference in the world, and it changes lives. On behalf of every student here, I thank you for all that you do to advance the mission of the College.

This issue of Notre Dame Today applauds the year’s accomplishments and celebrates just how hard our students, faculty and staff have worked this year. The stories reflect our balance of academic programming and the diverse activities of our thriving and vibrant campus.

It’s been a busy year, and although most of our students will be gone until August, we are working hard on some exciting projects and improvements on campus.

If you’d like to see what we have going on…we always welcome visitors. I invite you to stop by the admissions office this summer; they will be happy to arrange a tour and update you on all the latest happenings. We’d love to see you here!
