Nearly 15 students from Notre Dame attended the College Career Services Center-sponsored 17th annual Northeast Ohio Teacher Education Day (NOTED) in Akron, Ohio. Approximately 100 employers from nearly 20 states were recruiting at the fair, which was attended by about 500 job seekers from 12 Northeast Ohio schools.

“Employers were pleased with the number and quality of candidates from Ohio, especially Notre Dame. Notre Dame students were equally pleased with the event and opportunity to network with so many schools in one place,” said Kim Lane, director of career services at the College.

The 14 students from Notre Dame who attended NOTED each reported obtaining an average of seven job interviews.

According to Lane, one education major, Megan Skouby, who is obtaining teaching licenses in adolescent to young adult life sciences and chemistry at the College, received six job offers from schools after her 10 interviews at the event.
