Notre Dame College Celebrates Nearly 300 Students, First M.S.N. Graduates at 94th Commencement

Notre Dame College will recognize a total of nearly 300 students, including the first graduates of the online Master of Science in Nursing degree, during its 94th commencement. 

The College’s Class of 2018 encompasses 223 undergraduates and 58 graduate students in three separate diploma ceremonies all on Saturday, May 5, in Regina Auditorium on the Notre Dame campus. The graduate diploma ceremony features the first Notre Dame cohort completing the M.S.N., a total of six graduates.

This year, bachelor's degree candidates in the five Notre Dame academic divisions number 56 in business, 44 in arts and humanities, 45 in nursing, 41 in science and mathematics and 37 in education.

In addition to those earning the M.S.N., graduate students consist of 43 Master of Education degree candidates, and nine students are expected to earn the Master of Arts in national security and intelligence studies.

The diploma ceremony for undergraduates in arts and humanities and business is at 10 a.m., and the program for those in education, nursing, science and mathematics is at 2:30 p.m. The graduate student diploma ceremony is at 6 p.m. Details of the ceremonies are available online.

Notre Dame’s commencement also features a Baccalaureate Hooding Ceremony and Mass at 4 p.m. Friday, May 4, in Regina Auditorium for the undergraduates. This year, Diocese of Cleveland Bishop Nelson J. Perez will celebrate the Eucharistic Liturgy.

The College’s Division of Nursing Pinning Ceremony for undergraduates is 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, in Christ the King Chapel, followed by a reception in the Great Room of the Administration Building.
