Notre Dame College Aids Access to Transfer Students with Enhanced Credit Acceptance

Notre Dame College is even more transfer friendly now, offering guaranteed admission to qualified students who have earned an associate’s degree.

The College also provides a 24-hour acceptance decision, accepts 100 percent of course credits, grants a $30,000 two-year scholarship and offers a 2+2 graduation guarantee for transfer students who meet eligibility requirements beginning with the spring 2019 semester.

Recognizing the system of preparation afforded by the completion of an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree, and in accordance with the Ohio Articulation and Transfer policy, Notre Dame will guarantee admission to the College and afford junior standing to all students who have earned an A.A. or A.S. degree from an accredited institution, provided their grade point average is at least 2.0 for all previous college-level courses, excluding nursing. Notre Dame College’s Division of Nursing has separate admission requirements.

Students completing an A.A. or A.S. degree will be considered to have met all lower biennium general education requirements. Transfer students are required to complete upper biennium general education requirements unless they already have courses similar to these which have been approved in the admission process.

Once enrolled at Notre Dame, transfers who satisfactorily complete all coursework and related requirements can graduate with a bachelor’s degree from the College in two years. Academic advisors are available to work with students one-on-one throughout their time on campus. Online courses also are available.

In addition to academic programs in nearly 30 majors, Notre Dame offers a complete suite of student services from on-campus writing, tutoring and career centers to performing arts programs and multiple NCAA Division II athletic teams.

The new transfer policy is effective spring 2019. Notre Dame also has articulation agreements with numerous community colleges in Ohio. Details are available online.
