Admissions

Weekend College students are defined as those who have graduated from high school five or more years prior to their first term of enrollment or who have earned a General Education Diploma (GED), who have worked full-time for at least two years and who wish to complete course work primarily through Weekend College.

Notre Dame College requires the following credentials from each WECO student seeking admission.

  • Application for Undergraduate Admission. You can choose to print out a copy of our mail-in application along with a $30.00 non-refundable application fee, or you can use the free online application form. Select this link for applications.

  • Official high school transcript stating date of graduation or official GED certificate.

  • Personal interview with an Admissions Counselor.

WECO transfer students will also be required to submit official academic transcripts from each college or university previously attended. Academic transcripts must be submitted directly to the Office of Admissions by the issuing high school or post-secondary institution in order to be considered official.

Financial Assistance

Weekend College students are eligible for financial assistance, even if they are part-time. Students applying for federal aid must complete the required paperwork to determine eligibility and must submit all information to the Office of Student Financial Assistance. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits each session to obtain the aid for which they are eligible. Federal student loans are financial aid; therefore, students must be enrolled half-time (six credits).

Notre Dame College participates in the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Stafford Loan Programs. These programs are available to the Week-end College Students. Please visit the FINANCIAL AID section of our web site for further information on each of those options.

Many firms reimburse tuition costs for their employees seeking further education. In addition, certain tax credits are available from the IRS for students pursuing Adult Education. Students should inquire at their respective places of business regarding tuition reimbursement. Information about federal tax credits for Adult Learners is available at the IRS website, www.IRS.gov.

Students not enrolled in six credits may look into Alternative Loan programs.

All financial assistance questions and concerns should be directed to the Student Financial Assistance office, 216-373-5263.
