The Weekend College is designed with you, the working student, in mind. You can earn a Certificate, an Associate in Arts degree or a Bachelor of Arts degree. Classes are conveniently scheduled on Friday evenings from 6:30pm to 10:00pm and on Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:00noon and from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. You may take 1, 2, or 3 courses each term and there are four terms in an academic year. Terms are designed so that you attend classes three weekends in a row, have one weekend off and then finish the terms attending classes three weekends in a row.
The Weekend College is a TOTAL degree program with majors in business and psychology (Select this link for a list of WECO Degree Programs). It is designed for men and women who bring transfer credits from other accredited colleges as well as for students who are beginning their college education. You need only attend classes on weekends and, if you follow the prescribed schedule of courses, you can complete your degree in the same 4-year time frame as a traditional, daytime student. If you are a transfer student, you may complete your program in fewer than 4 years! Adults who need more flexibility in their academic lives can easily complement weekend classes with day and evening classes.
The Weekend College reflects Notre Dame’s commitment to the education of students of diverse ages, beliefs, cultures and races. WECO students enjoy the excitement of intellectual stimulation in the academic environment where standards are high; the association with colleagues in a learning institution; and the personal attention only possible in a college of comfortable size.
