Karl Rishe
Dean of Students

Karl is responsible for developing student life on campus, including the overall administration, supervision, and evaluation of Student Affairs programs and activities including: Residence Life, Counseling Center, Career Services Center, Campus Activities, Campus Ministry, Band, Cheerleading, Health Center, the Student Center and the Falcon Cafe.  Karl has a BA in Communications from Saginaw Valley State University, A Masters in Higher Education Administration from the University of Akron, A Masters in Communications from Grand Valley State University, and a Doctoral in Educational Leadership from the University of Akron.  Karl enjoys running marathons and spending time with his beautiful wife and two children.


Tera Johnson-Assistant Dean of Students

Tera oversees the College’s Student Conduct and Title IX processes, and supervises the Director of Residence Life.  Tera has a BA from John Carroll University in Communications, A masters in College Student Personnel from the University of Louisville, and is an ATIXA Level 1 Certified Civil Rights Investigator.  Tera has been at Notre Dame College since 2009, and has worked in various capacities within Student Affairs.  She is married to her husband, Treye, and has one child and a dog.  Tera enjoys spending time outside and exploring Cleveland.


Samantha George

Student Ombuds and Spirit Coordinator

Sami facilitates the student concern and complaint procedure, and serves as a student advocate in the conduct process.  She also supervises the President’s Team; the student ambassador program for the Office of the President.    She is in the process of getting her Masters of Arts in Higher Education Administration degree.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Broadcasting.   She began working at Notre Dame College in 2010.  Before joining Student Affairs, she had the opportunity to work as a member of the Admissions Team as well as the Head Cheerleading Coach and supervisor of the Cheer, Dance, and Mascot Program.  She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two children, and has a passion for Cleveland sports.

Jamie serves as the Student Affairs Coordinator.  She manages the work study program and schedules all meetings for the Dean of Students.  Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband Domenic and dog Luca. 


Student Engagement:

Elizabeth Cappabianca

Director of Student Engagement and Leadership

Elizabeth connects students to leadership opportunities, campus involvement, and the campus community in the spirit of the Notre Dame College Mission.   She also oversees all clubs and organizations on campus and manages the Falcons’ Nest.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Education, and a Masters in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel.  She is also MBTI Certified.   Elizabeth is a huge Cleveland Indians fan, loves trying local restaurants, and spending time with her husband in Northfield.


Falcon Café:

Leanne runs the day to day operations of the Falcon Café and apparel shop, along with the buying of apparel and merchandise, budgeting, and the supervising of employees.  She has a degree in Merchandising.


Santana Bonifant

Assistant Café Manager

Santana serves as the Assistant Manager for the Falcon Café.  She has created and monitored social media forms, and coordinates the scheduling of the students shifts for the Café throughout the year.  Santana assists in training student employees in cashiering and customer service.  Santana has a Bachelors in Public Relations and Media Writing.  In her spare time, she loves to dance and workout.


Campus Ministry:

Ted cares for the spiritual needs of all students and staff of the College.  He has a Master's Degree in Theology from St. Mary Seminary.   He also has a Degree in Theology and Communications from John Carroll.  Ted likes to play the guitar and paint.


Anita Yoder-Assistant Director of Campus Ministry

Anita facilitates service projects, leading Immersions, and supporting student leaders.   She has a Masters of Divinity degree through Bethany Theological Seminary. She lives in Cleveland Heights with her husband Ben.


Performing Arts:

Timothy Little

Timothy Little
Director of Performing Arts

Timothy Conducts the Concert Choir, the Chamber Choir, and various specialized choral groups. In addition to conducting, Timothy serves as the Executive Director of Performing Arts, and teaches courses in music within the performing arts minor curricula.  He has a Masters of Music degree in Choral Conducting & Literature from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor of Music degree with Vocal and Music Education studies from the Shenandoah Conservatory.  He is a Die-hard LSU football fan, loves to fish, and crazy about his nephews and nieces.


Bryan Hannaford-Director of Band

Bryan serves as the Director of Band.  He has a Bachelor’s of Art in Music, A Masters of Art in Music Education and Saxophone Performance.   Bryan is recently married and has two dogs, Maeby and Phoebe.


Michael Krueger-Assistant Director of Band

Michael serves as the Assistant Director of Band, where he assists with the concert and marching programs, recruitment and teaches applied brass.  He has a Masters of Music degree in Music Composition and a Bachelors of Music degree in Music Composition from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  Michael loves sports and playing XBOX.


Counseling Center:

Jerry Hayes

Director of Counseling

Jerry serves as the Director of the counseling center.  He is responsible for managing and oversite of the daily functioning of the center including the provision of individual and group therapy, outreach and prevention efforts, training and consultation and administrative and clinical supervision. Jerry is a licensed psychologist; Degree: PsyD (Doctor of Psychology).

In addition to working with students at NDC, he enjoys photography, videography and performing as a guitarist and singer songwriter in the Cleveland area. He has a terrific family with two great kids, 9 and 12. He is also a member of Knights of Columbus (Council 310).


Desiree Morrison-Assistant Director of Counseling

Desiree serves as the Coordinator for Prevention and Outreach.   She provides direct clinical services, mental health outreach, and educational programming to campus community.  She has a   M.Ed., LPCC-S, CYC-P, and has 3 children.  She loves fitness and art.

Nadya serves as the office manager for the Counseling Center.  She has a BA in Accounting, and enjoys baking and spending time outdoors with her children and family.


Career Services:

George Phillips-Interim Director, Career Services

George Phillips
Interim Director, Career Services

George serves as the Interim Director of Career Services.  His primary responsibility is to ensure that our students are well prepared for the real world upon graduation.   George has a degree in BA Business Administration, an MBA from the Forbes School of Business and an MA in Organizational Management & Leadership from the Forbes School of Business.  He is a Professor of Business at NDC, a small business owner and a Professional Sports Broadcaster / Announcer.


Jennifer Lowery-Internship Coordinator

Internship Coordinator

Jennifer serves as the internship coordinator.  She is responsible for internships, resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, career coaching, major selection and job search.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education from Allegheny College.   She has 2 sons, a dog and a husband who graduated from NDC.  She coaches boy’s basketball and baseball.

April serves as the Job Shadowing Coordinator, where she designs and implements a Job Shadowing Program that will actively identify and recruit new employers and improves existing employer relationships to increase the number and variety of opportunities for students.  She also works collaboratively and proactively with students and academic divisions to determine.   She has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, and she is an alum of the college.  She has three wonderful children, Lela, Gregory, and Edmund.

Nick is responsible for administering a comprehensive student development program consistent with the philosophies and goals of Notre Dame College, and Department of Student Affairs. Nick has a Masters of Education, and A Bachelors of Arts in History.  He is a lover of all things Cleveland.
