Type words into the Advanced Search box that you want to search for, then click [Search].
You can limit your search to only one or two areas of the www.NotreDameCollege.edu website with the [Pick An Area] drop-down list(s).
- Use the plus sign (+) in front of each word that you require.
- Use the minus sign (-) in front of each word that you want to exclude.
- Use quotation marks (" ") around your search terms for a exact phrase search.
- By default, Google only returns pages that include all of your search terms. There is no need to include "AND" between terms. Keep in mind that the order in which the terms are typed will affect the search results.
- To find pages that include either of two search terms, add an uppercase "OR" between the terms.
- Use the tilde sign (~) in front of a word for your search term and also for its synonyms.
Example: ~science will provide information also on its synonyms: biology, physics, etc.
- Google searches are not case sensitive.
