Book-A-Year Club

In 1935, Sister Genevieve and the library committee organized a Book-A-Year Club to establish a permanent fund for the support of the Library. Over the years many worthwhile additions to the collection have been made possible through the generosity of Club members.

If you are not a member of the Book-A-Year Club, please consider joining. For a gift of $25 or more, your name will be printed on a bookplate and placed in a new book purchased through your generosity.

Mission Statement

The Book-A-Year Club Gallery, established in 1998, serves as an exhibit space for the Clara Fritzsche Library. Gallery exhibitions are booked and promoted by the library director. It is the mission of the gallery to:

  1. Provide a stimulating, intellectual environment for library patrons.
  2. Promote the college by highlighting its programs and faculty.
  3. Support the mission of the college.
  4. Promote Notre Dame College’s Tolerance Resource Center and Eastern Church Resource Center, also housed in the library.
  5. Increase the visibility of Notre Dame College.
  6. Reach out to the local community by providing exhibits of interest to the general public and providing exposure to local artists.
