Campus Police and Safety Services

Letter from the Chief of Police

It is certainly a privilege and honor to serve as the Notre Dame College Police Chief and Director of Campus Safety and Security. On behalf of the dedicated staff, police officers, security services team and student safety aides that comprise our agency, we will strive to pursue excellence in our service to the college, its students, staff, faculty and visitors.

As our campus continues to grow, our agency is committed to a proactive approach to enforcement, including community policing initiatives, relationship building, networking and collaborating─both internally and with our external partners in law enforcement and security─to meet the ever-changing needs in law enforcement and safety protection.

We pledge to seek new ways to serve and increase our safety and security posture, as well as find ways to refine our activities to help us achieve our mission and vision while deterring crime and providing an essence of safety and security for all. We are ever-cognizant that improving the quality of life for our College campus community is a collective effort. We will work tirelessly with every facet of this College to educate itself in crime awareness. We will partner with members of the campus community in deterring crime through self-initiated prevention efforts, awareness and reporting, as well as agency-provided education initiatives.

Our agency and its staff also will continuously evaluate ourselves, develop strategies that meet the security and safety needs of the campus and maintain a high degree of competency by an on-going effort of continuing education and training. We will be ready to respond with precision, professionalism and excellence to any situation, and be effective in our resolve to provide a safe, secure campus.

Always feel welcome to call upon myself or my staff. And never hesitate: ‘if you see something, say something.’ We are here to serve with excellence, and it is my hope we will exceed your expectations and stand true to our mission, vision and core values of service.
