Housing Options

Notre Dame College is equipped with five residence halls, three of which are traditional style residence halls and two of which are premium, apartment style residence halls.

Traditional Residence Halls

Traditional residence hall rooms are in a suite configuration. This means that two rooms share a restroom. The exact plans of these rooms vary slightly.

Harks Hall

Harks Hall

Completed in 1955, Harks Hall is named after Mother Mary Evarista Harks who was the first president and one of the founders of the College. Harks houses part of the male student population. It is equipped with a computer lab and two lounge areas for students to relax and unwind after a long day.

Petersen Hall

Peterson Hall

Petersen Hall was formerly named Alumnae Hall after all of the graduates from Notre Dame College. In 2003 the Board of Directors renamed the hall after Helen Foose Petersen who donated the largest amount of money to the college in all of its years existence. Now occupied by the female population of the College, Petersen Hall maintains its strong stature when it is filled with students like YOU!

Peterson Hall

Providence Hall

Built in 1962, Providence used to house the Sisters of Notre Dame until 2004 when the student population increased so much that the space needed to be utilized for the students. Providence houses part of the male student population.

Apartment Style Residence Halls

The apartment style residence halls are configured with one or two bathrooms. There is one kitchenette unit in all the apartments in South Hall and the majority of apartments in North Hall.

North Hall

North Hall

North Hall is an apartment style premium residence hall that opened in January 2009. It is occupied by the upperclassmen of Notre Dame College. With four floors and 35 rooms, North Hall is the perfect place for an upper-class student to reside. With 24-hour visitation, central air, an elevator and a laundry room, the apartment style environment enhances the residence hall experience at Notre Dame College.

South Hall

South Hall

South Hall is our newest apartment style residence hall that will open in August of 2009. This residence hall has open visitation, a fitness center, community lounge, central air, elevator, laundry rooms on every floor, and a game room for residents to enjoy. Upper class students will have the opportunity to enjoy this new building and all of its fine amenities. South Hall has 104 rooms that are set up as two bedroom apartments with only four students sharing the entire apartment. Each suite has two student bedrooms, a kitchenette (with a microwave and refrigerator), a furnished living room, and a bath room. The two bedrooms each come with two beds, two dressers, two desks, two chairs, and two wardrobe closets. All bedrooms in the apartment have phone, cable, and Internet hook-ups that will also be provided in the kitchenette/living room area.
