When LaMont decided to go back to college to further his career, he found that as an adult student the choice could be complicated.
“In some ways it was similar to buying a house. I had to consider many things: neighborhood, cost, class size and school credentials.”
But when he visited Notre Dame, he felt right at home. Here he was a student, not a number. And with the supportive atmosphere and the convenient schedule that offered weekend classes, he realized that earning a college degree at Notre Dame would be a perfect fit for his lifestyle.
He also learned that the career-oriented liberal arts coursework would help him move forward in his career. “I work for the Federal Government as a management analyst,” said LaMont. “Studying Human Resources Development at Notre Dame gives me the edge I need with my job. My professors at Notre Dame College are prepared, organized and motivated to instruct, and the small class size lets my instructors get to know me.”
For those students who are thinking about starting or going back to college, and may be unsure or a little overwhelmed, LaMont offers this advice: “Consider my choice—Notre Dame College: there’s no place like home.” |
