NDC falls in non-conference play

EDINBORO, Penn. – The Notre Dame Falcons dropped their second match in only nine outings when they traveled to Edinboro (PA) on Wednesday. The Fighting Scots swept NDC 3-0 (23-30, 35-33, 22-30) in straight games as the Falcons fall to 14-10 (6-1 AMC-North).
After a slow start in the first game, NDC rallied in game two to extra points before falling 33-35. In game, three the Blue & Gold couldn't come back from the scoring deficit and the Fighting Scots took advantage for a 30-22 win to seal the match.
Debbie Beatty (Sr/Masillon, OH) finished the night with a team-high 18 digs, her lowest tally since Sep. 22 against Carlow (PA). Dana Sarver (Jr/Rock Valley, IL) lead the offense with eight kills.
The Falcons enter a six-day hiatus and return to the Murph on Oct. 16 when they host Malone in an AMC-North match-up. The match is slated for 7:00pm.
