Fast times at Bob Kahn
One more relay qualifies for Nationals at local meet

OBERLIN, Ohio –The Notre Dame Track and Field team competed at the Bob Kahn Invitational hosted by Oberlin College on Friday (Apr. 25). NDC broke seven school records (three for men, four for women) in the unscored event.
The Falcons earned one more qualification for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Outdoor National Championship meet with the first place finish in the Men's 4x100 Meter Relay (Bruce-Tolliver-George-McKrill) with a program record time of 41.51.
The Falcon men also reset records in the Triple Jump and the Hammer Throw. Tyler Boris (Fr/Toledo, OH) lept to a distance of 13.24m (43-05.25) also good enough for a Silver medal. In the Hammer Throw, Jim Boals (So/North Benton, OH) set the new record with a throw of 45.63m (149-08).
On the women’s side, the Field events had a strong showing with Angela
Giamei (Jr/Lyndhurst, OH) setting a new record in the Triple Jump (10.21m, 33-06.00) along with a first-place finish. Samantha Murphy (Fr/Columbus, OH) finished second in the Shot Put with a distance on 12.34m (40.06.00). Tiffany Patrick (Fr/Norwalk, OH) rounded out the field event success with a third place finish in the Javelin and a new program record of 32.58m (106-11).
The lone track event record was nabbed by Allie Rendlesham (Jr/Richmond Heights, OH) who finished the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase with a time of 12:04.04, which was another Gold medal for NDC.
The Falcons compete next on Friday, May 2 at the Toledo Invitational hosted by the University of Toledo.
