Loss for a gain
NDC falls to Walsh but shows improvement
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio - The Notre Dame Men's Tennis fell to Walsh, 8-1, in American Mideast Conference (AMC) play on Friday.
Despite the loss, the Falcons earned one singles win against the Cavaliers when James Goodwin (Fr/Willoughby, OH) top his Walsh counterpart (6-4, 6-0) in second singles play- a first for any Falcon tennis team.
In addition to the lone win for Goodwin, the Blue and Gold picked up more games in the match than in any other match against Walsh.
NDC now drops to 6-9 while Walsh improves to 9-7.
The Falcons take a week off and return to the court on Saturday, Apr. 26 when they travel to Cedarville to close out the 2008 season. The match is slated for a 1:00pm start.
