Falcons defeated by Racers for third loss in a row
MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio - Notre Dame lost to the University of Northwestern Ohio on Sunday in a non-conference tilt with the Racers. The 6-3 loss marks the third in a row for NDC. The Falcons drop to 4-8 this season while the Racers picked up their sixth win of the season to improve to 6-10.
The Blue & Gold picked up wins in first and second singles. Alex Godes (Sr/St.Peterburg, Russia) defeated Bryan Wright (Fr/Elida, OH) in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) while James Goodwin (Fr/Willoughby, OH) notched his sixth individual win of the season over Evan Carr (Fr/Pickerington, OH), 6-2, 7-5.
The Falcons' final win of the day came in doubles play when Godes and Goodwin teamed up one more time and earned a 9-8 victory over Wright and Jason Sarno (Fr/Elida, OH).
NDC his the court again on April 9 when they travel to Bethany, WV to take on the Bethany College. The match is slated for a 4:00pm start.
