NDC strung by Pioneers
Falcons drop AMC opener to Malone, 9-0
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio - Notre Dame fell to Malone College Thursday, 9-0, in the American Mideast Conference (AMC) opener for both teams. The Falcons (2-5) were swept in six singles matches and three doubles matches by the Pioneers (8-3).
Malone has now won six of their last seven. The meeting at the Mayfield Racquet Club marked the first of five conference tilts for both teams.
Notre Dame went 0-6 in the AMC last year and has now dropped 20 straight in-circuit matches. The Blue & Gold's last conference win came on Mar. 29, 2005 against St. Vincent College (PA).
