The Notre Dame College Swim Team hosted John Carroll University on November 4, 2006 in the first ever home dual meet in the history of the program. "The meet was a great success", said first year head coach Mike Gallagher. "We did very well and qualified for the NAIA national championships in a few events and had some personal records achieved. I am very proud to be part of a team that works as hard as they do and it can be seen it in the results." Individually for the Falcons, Shannan Fitzgerald (Hewitt, NJ/West Milford Township) won the 200-yard individual medley (2:25.40) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.68).
