The Notre Dame College Falcons began the 2004 season with a 10-0 rout of NCAA Division II Ohio Valley College.
The Falcons jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first half which pleased second-year head coach Mike Shiels, "Playing before your home crowd, it's always nice to come out on top. We got the first-game jitters out of the way early and kept the momentum going throughout the game."
The Falcon offense was led by senior Kati McBrearty who scored a team-leading four goals. Junior Alesia Salberg scored three to go along with her two assists. Freshman Lauren Dudley added two goals and two assists.
NDC goalkeeper Amy Ott recorded two saves while not allowing any goals for the Fighting Scots.
The Falcons are now 1-0 overall.
