Falcons clipped in tourney semifinal
Nov. 14: Notre Dame's season came to an end Friday night in Columbus, as Roberts Wesleyan (N.Y.) turned back the Falcons, 1-0. After the two teams battled to a scoreless first half, the Raiders' Laura Willit scored her 19th goal of the season in the 77th minute of the match. That would be all the scoring Roberts would need.
Notre Dame (11-5-1) was blanked, putting just two shots on goal against a stout RWC defense.

NDC paints AMC team Blue & White
Nov. 6: A third-place finish in the conference led to three Falcons being named to the All-American Mideast Conference (AMC) First Team. Sophomore goalkeeper Emilie Lamarche (Rockland, Ont.), junior defender Caley Prendergast (London, Ont.), and senior midfielder Nikki Tizzano (Mentor, Ohio) were all voted into the best 14 of the AMC in 2008.

First fades for Falcons
Nov. 1: Only needing a win to clinch the American Mideast Conference (AMC) regular season title, Notre Dame could hold on to a lead to defeat Shawnee State in their regular season finale on Saturday. Shawnee (6-10-2, 3-8-2 AMC) notched two second half goals for the 2-1 victory over the Falcons (11-4-1, 10-2-1). With the loss, NDC falls to third in the AMC while Houghton (N.Y.) clinches the conference title.

NDC Women's Soccer at a Glance
- Notre Dame Women's Soccer was instituted in 1995.
- NDC competes in the North Division of the 15-member American Mideast Conference (AMC).
- AMC soccer programs participate in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). 214 schools from 20 athletic conferences sponsor women's soccer in the NAIA.
