Lake Catholic's Dave Hilborn earns AMC Second-Team Honors

South Euclid, OH - April 2003 - Notre Dame men's basketball player and Lake Catholic graduate Dave Hilborn (Mentor, Ohio) has earned Second-Team American Mideast Conference Basketball Honors for his efforts this season.

Hilborn, a sophomore guard was an AMC Honorable Mention selection his freshman season and the first-ever All-Conference selection in the second-year men's program at Notre Dame. Teammate Niles Wadley (Saginaw, MI) joined Hilborn as a second-team selection this season.

For the year, Hilborn led the team in scoring with 437 points (14.1 points/game), steals with 59, minutes played (32.6), and assists per game - dishing out 79 on the year with a 2.5/game average. In 31 games, Hilborn also contributed 73 rebounds and poured in a team high 29 points in one game.

The young Falcons finished the season at 7-24 after winning just two games in their first year of play, but lose only one senior to graduation this year.
