Women's Soccer Seniors Say So Long
South Euclid, OH – October 28, 2004 - It was a game filled with many emotions Saturday as the Notre Dame College women's soccer team hosted Point Park University at Brush High School. An afternoon filled with blue skies and sunshine served as the backdrop for what would be Dawn Grove, Kati McBrearty and Amy Ott's final home game as Falcons. The three senior starters took to the field as they had in previous years, only this time would be their last playing for the blue and gold with the home field advantage. Wanting to go out with a bang, the seniors made sure to leave their mark as they helped the Falcons defeat the visiting Pioneers 8-0. McBrearty scored two goals and had one assist, while Grove contributed one goal in the winning effort. Ott had a tougher time leaving the team with something to remember as Point Park managed not a single shot attempt, leaving the keeper with no chance to record any saves.
