Van Wert Grad Headed to Notre Dame
South Euclid, OH – August 13, 2004 - Thursday afternoon, Van Wert High School graduate Eric Putnam signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to play baseball at Notre Dame College. The three-year varsity pitcher finished his senior year with 53 strikeouts in 43 innings of work for the Cougars. With plans to major in education, Putnam will be a part of Notre Dame history as the College begins its inaugural season of baseball with the 2004-05 academic year. The Falcons will compete within the North Division of the American Mideast Conference, which is the largest NAIA conference in the nation.
