Wickliffe's Corrigan Signs on to Run at NDC

South Euclid, OH – May 9, 2005 - Notre Dame College gained an athlete with national experience when Wickliffe High School graduate and Cuyahoga Community College transfer Amanda Corrigan signed an NAIA Letter of Intent for cross country and track and field.

In high school, Corrigan competed in the 800, 1600, 400, high jump and pole vault for the Blue Devils as a four-year varsity member of the cross country and track and field teams. She earned Second-Team All-Chagrin Valley Conference honors as a senior for both teams, after being a three-time honorable mention pick. She was also a member of National Honors Society.

Upon graduation, Corrigan went to Tri-C where she competed for the Challengers in the pole vault, 800, 4x400 and 1500. She was a two-time national qualifier in pole vault and was the Region XII champion in the event in 2005. She was also a national qualifier in cross country in 2005.

An honors graduate from Tri-C, with a perfect grade point average of 4.00, Corrigan will begin her studies at Notre Dame with the 2005-06 academic year.

"[Notre Dame] has excellence in my major, campus, coaches and students," said Corrigan when asked about her reasons for choosing NDC.

She plans to major in middle childhood education.
