Strongsville's Klingbeil to Pitch for NDC
South Euclid, OH – July 20, 2004 - The Notre Dame College baseball pitching staff grew stronger this week when Strongsville High School graduate and Cuyahoga Community College transfer Ken Klingbeil signed an NAIA Letter of Intent. Strongsville's two-year varsity hurler went 8-2 as a senior to earn the Pioneer Conference Most Valuable Player Award. He recorded a 2.86 ERA in the effort. Upon graduating, he moved on to the junior college level where he earned a 7-5 record in 60 innings of work for the Cuyahoga Challengers. After one season with CCC, he decided to make the transition to NDC. “I liked Coach Moro and have heard very good things about the college,” said Klingbeil of his reasons for choosing Notre Dame. He will major in sports management while playing for the first-year Falcon baseball team. Notre Dame will compete in the American Mideast Conference (AMC), which is the largest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) conference in the country.
