Michigan Native to Plant Roots at NDC

South Euclid, OH – August 3, 2004 - Michigan native Brandon Roots recently signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to play men's basketball for Notre Dame College.

Roots, a graduate of Inkster High School, played in both the forward and center positions for the varsity team this past season. He averaged 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocks per game as a senior. He earned the team's Most Improved Award, as well as the Coach's Award and was a member of the National Honor Society.

“I like the school and the area,” said Roots of his decision to attend Notre Dame, “I also like Coach Bille's style of play.”

Roots plans to major in mathematics.
