Soccer's Gaskins Earns News-Herald Honors

South Euclid, OH - September 30, 2003 - Notre Dame College women's soccer player Erica Gaskins was featured as the News-Herald Local College Player of the Week Tuesday. She is the first soccer player to receive the honor.

The senior midfielder scored a goal and had one assist in the Falcon's 4-0 conference opening victory against Carlow College. Currently, the Mentor native and former graduate of Mentor High School ranks second in points for Notre Dame.

Gaskins will take to the field in Falcon territory for the first time this season in the home opener Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 4:30 p.m. against Baldwin Wallace College and again on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1:30 p.m. against Ohio Dominican University.
