Hilborn and Bruce Earn First NH Men’s Basketball Honors

South Euclid, OH – December 16, 2003 - Notre Dame College men’s basketball players Dave Hilborn and Will Bruce are the first two Falcon male News-Herald Local College Players of the Week.

Junior guard Hilborn, son of Michael and Mary Beth Hilborn, was chosen as the November 18, 2003 honoree after scoring 54 points in three games. The Lake Catholic High School graduate was the only Notre Dame player selected to the Indiana Southeast All-Tournament Team.

Post player Bruce, son of Albert Ellington and Valerie Bruce, was honored December 2, 2003. The Benedictine High School graduate totaled 36 points and 14 rebounds in two games. He also added three steals and two assists while shooting 62 percent from the field.

Players of the Week are featured in the News-Herald on a weekly basis. One player is selected from all eligible women’s and men’s basketball playing candidates based on their performance from the previous week.
