Cross Country's Glatzhofer Runs into the Record Books

South Euclid, OH - October 22, 2003 - Notre Dame College women's cross country runner Karen Glatzhofer ran right into the school's record books at the California Classic hosted by California University of Pennsylvania.

The sophomore from Cleveland, Ohio ran a 26:39 in the 6K race. Her time not only led the Falcons for the day, but also for the entire history of the program. The previous record for that distance was set last season by Natalie Magyar at Waynesburg with a time of 27:39.

After shaving one full minute off the former record, the Trinity High School graduate earned News-Herald Player of the Week honors, a first for a female cross country runner.
