Falcons Capture Championship in Soccer
South Euclid, OH – November 3, 2004 - High winds caused by Mother Nature, as well as the Golden Tornodoes of Geneva College couldn't hold back the Falcons as the Notre Dame College men's soccer team became the 2004 American Mideast Conference North Division Co-Champions with a 1-0 win Saturday night. With a league record of 6-1, NDC earned the number one seed in the division for the playoffs that will begin November 6. It is the second time in the program's four-year history the Falcons have achieved such a feat. "Everyone throughout the Notre Dame community has been very supportive of our program," said fourth-year head coach Mac McBride, "whether it's the 44 players, the college administration, the athletic department or the fans. Hopefully with this continued backing, we can continue to bring even more success to the college by way of the men's soccer program." The Falcons host the AMC South's fourth seed of Ohio Dominican University at Brush High School Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the gate.
