Talented Transfer Thrills Men's Soccer Program

South Euclid, OH – May 23, 2005 - The latest stop on David Carmichael's soccer tour is Notre Dame College. The midfielder signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to play with the Falcon men's soccer team as a junior, beginning with the 2005-06 academic year.

The Glasgow, Scotland native played at Cleveland State University as a freshman and at Northwood University in Michigan as a sophomore. In his second season of collegiate soccer, he was voted First-Team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, as well as All-Region.

"David was a very good player at the NCAA Division I level," said Notre Dame head coach Mac McBride, "and he will be a very good player at the NAIA level. He is the archetypical creative midfielder - skilled, experienced and a proven winner. He is just what we've been looking for."

Carmichael plans to major in sports management at Notre Dame.
