Cougar Chooses NDC for Basketball

South Euclid, OH – May 5, 2005 - Monday afternoon Lake Catholic senior Brendan Bartel signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to play basketball for Notre Dame College beginning with the 2005-06 academic year.

The three-year varsity Cougar averaged nine points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals per game as a guard. He was a News-Herald All-Star and participated in the Cuyahoga County Coaches All-Star Game. He also received the team Most Improved Player Award, as well as the Defensive Player of the Year Award during his time as a Cougar.

When asked about his reasons for choosing Notre Dame College, Bartel responded, "to further my basketball abilities as well as my academics."
