Lincolnview's Missler Signs with NDC
South Euclid, OH – August 13, 2004 - Thursday afternoon, Lincolnview High School graduate Nick Missler signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to play baseball at Notre Dame College. A four-year varsity pitcher for the Lancers, Missler recorded a 1.29 ERA in 69 innings of work. He also struck out 129 of the 250 hitters he faced. He received All-Northwest Conference honors all four years of his high school career, including honorable mention status his first two seasons and first-team status his last two seasons. As a senior, he was also a First-Team All-State and Mizuno All-Ohio selection. Missler is looking forward to playing at Notre Dame and has high expectations for the new program, “This is a chance for me to play for a baseball team that will be good the first year,” said Missler. Notre Dame begins its inaugural season of baseball with the 2004-05 academic year. The Falcons will compete within the North Division of the American Mideast Conference, which is the largest NAIA conference in the nation.
